Good news for Gujaratis: Every citizen has the right to undergo corona test, tweak to government

The state government had submitted in the high court that 80 per cent of the total population could test positive for corona. In a public interest litigation filed by the High Court, the High Court directed the state government to allow everyone to undergo the Corona test.

The state government's submission in the High Court was that if more and more tests were done, about 50 per cent of the total population would be tax-positive. This will spread a kind of mental fear among the people.

In this regard, the High Court has told the state government that it is not advisable to stop testing of Corona in the wake of such suspicions. The High Court questioned whether there are a total of 19 government and 12 private laboratories across the state for testing patients, is that enough?

Now it is up to the government to decide if the person wants to undergo corona test

Order to conduct the test in a government hospital only

The Gujarat High Court has heard a petition seeking discharge of asymptomatic patients of Covid-19 without discharge and early discharge and reduced testing.

In which case there were aggressive arguments from both sides. In which the facilities which are in the laboratory as per the guidelines of ICMR are not allowed. The laboratory approved by ICMR for testing has been directed by the state government to conduct the test at a government hospital.

There were arguments within all quarters as to whether such an action by the government was tantamount to controlling Corona's case statistics.

Order to allow everyone to test

The High Court has directed the government to allow everyone to undergo corona testing. Perform patient testing at the time of discharge. Corona positive patients who have been discharged from the hospital or have died should also be tested by the families of these patients. Also get the patient tested by the doctor who has written the prescription. The High Court also said that if a private laboratory has adequate infrastructural facilities and fulfills all the required conditions, allow it to perform RT-PCR test.
